Meet The Presenters

Fran Cleland Donnelly spent 10 years as a K-12 health and physical educator and 33 years as a physical education teacher educator. She is a published author, national and international presenter, and recipient of several state, district and national awards, the most recent being the 2023 SHAPE America Hall of Fame Award. Donnelly has served as SHAPE America president and in many other capacities through the years. Now retired from teaching, she serves as SHAPE America’s book acquisitions and production manager.

Dan DeJager is a National Board Certified high school teacher, university lecturer and teacher leader in Sacramento, CA. DeJager has taught diverse groups of students in a variety of settings, and in 2019 was named SHAPE America National High School Physical Education Teacher of the Year. Recently, he served as a member of the SHAPE America National Physical Education Standards Task Force.
