Earn Credit for Attending Summer Institute

Graduate Credit From the University of Mount Union (2 credits)

Summer Institute registration required. This option provides participants with the opportunity to earn two graduate credits from the University of Mount Union, Alliance, OH. In order to receive the credit, participants must purchase this option through the Summer Institute registration process, attend and summarize 9 sessions on site at the 2024 SHAPE America Summer Institute, attend and summarize the ½ day Standards Workshop (additional ticket purchase required), and complete a capstone assignment after the event. Each graduate credit registrant will receive a comprehensive packet in Minneapolis which will include details for appropriately completing and submitting all necessary materials and receiving documentation of the collegiate credit.

Please note that social events will not qualify as part of the 9-session requirement for this credit. Once a participant has picked up their packet on site in Minneapolis, this purchase is non-refundable, even if the participant does not complete the necessary steps during the appropriate timeline to earn credit.

CECH Credits

This program is designated for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES®) to receive up to 9 total Category I continuing education contact hours. An additional 4 Category l credits may be received for attendance at the Implementing the New SHAPE America National Health Education Standards workshop (additional ticket purchase required).

SACH Credits

$25 (non-members)

SHAPE America Contact Hours (SACH) are hours earned by attending sessions at the Summer institute in Minneapolis. The max number of SACH you can qualify for is 9 for this event. An additional 4 credits may be received for attendance at the Implementing the New SHAPE America National Physical Education Standards workshop or the Implementing the New SHAPE America National Health Education Standards workshop (additional ticket purchase required). Please note that you will need to check with your district and/or licensing agency to see if SHAPE America contact hours will count towards your professional development and/or licensure requirements.
